Before you reinstall anything or assume the worst, know this: in the vast majority of cases the channels themselves are fine and the stream is live. The problem is almost always on the app or device side — an expired plan, a stale playlist, a typo in your login, or a wrong clock. Start at the top and stop as soon as your channels reappear.
First, check that your subscription is active
This is the single most overlooked cause of an empty channel list. When a subscription lapses, the server simply stops serving channels — the app still opens, your playlist still appears to load, but every category comes back empty or fails to authenticate. No error screen, no warning, just nothing.
The #1 reason channels vanish
If all your channels disappeared at once with no app changes on your end, an expired or unpaid subscription is the most likely explanation. Confirm your plan is still active before troubleshooting anything else.
Check your renewal or expiry date in the email we sent when you signed up. If your plan has ended or you are not sure where you stand, renew or pick up an active subscription from our plans and your channels will come straight back once the line is live again.
Refresh a stale playlist
Your app caches a copy of the channel list. If we add, remove, or reorganize channels, your cached copy can fall out of sync and show gaps, dead channels, or nothing at all. Forcing a fresh download of the playlist fixes this more often than any other single step.
- 1
TiviMate
Open Settings > Playlists, tap your playlist, then choose Update. Let it finish, then back out to the channel list.
- 2
IPTV Smarters / Smarters Pro
Smarters does not always have a one-tap refresh, so the reliable fix is to delete the playlist (or logout of the profile) and re-add it using your original login details. It will pull a clean copy on the way back in.
- 3
Other apps
Look for an Update, Refresh, or Reload playlist option in the playlist or account settings. If there is none, removing and re-adding the playlist achieves the same thing.
Make refreshing a habit
If you only ever notice missing channels once in a while, a quick playlist update is usually all it takes — no reinstall required.
Re-check your login details
A wrong or out-of-date login is the classic cause of a "no channels" or authentication error. Carefully re-enter your details and watch for the small mistakes that are easy to miss.
- Server URL — type it exactly, including `http://` or `https://` and the port number if there is one. A single wrong character means no channels.
- Username and password — these are case-sensitive. Re-type them by hand rather than relying on autofill, which sometimes adds a trailing space.
- Check for accidental spaces at the start or end of any field — the most common silent failure of all.
The server URL can change
Providers occasionally rotate or migrate the server URL. If your details were correct yesterday and fail today, the URL may have moved — use the most recent one from your welcome email, and see the setup guide for where each field goes.
Fix the device date and time
This one surprises people. If your device clock is wrong — common on a Fire Stick or Android box that has been unplugged for a while — secure connections to the server fail and authentication is rejected. The result is no channels, missing program guide (EPG), or random drop-outs.
Yes, the clock really matters
An incorrect date or time is a genuine cause of authentication failures and a blank EPG. Always set the clock to update automatically over the network.
- 1Open your device Settings and find Date & time (often under System or General).
- 2Turn on Automatic date & time (use network-provided time).
- 3Confirm the time zone is correct for where you are.
- 4Reopen your IPTV app and let the playlist load again.
Clear the app cache
A corrupted cache can leave the app stuck on an old, broken state even after everything else is correct. Clearing it forces a clean start without touching your login.
- On Android / Fire devices: Settings > Apps, select your IPTV app, then Clear cache.
- Relaunch the app and let the channels reload. This alone resolves a lot of spinning-wheel and partial-list problems.
- If it still misbehaves, choose Clear data (or Storage > Clear data) as well — be aware this signs you out, so have your Server URL, Username, and Password ready to re-enter.
Rule out a server outage or connection limit
If your subscription is active, your login is right, and the playlist still will not load on any device, the issue may be upstream rather than on your device.
- Max connections reached — most plans allow a limited number of simultaneous streams. If channels load on one device but not another, you are probably over the limit. Close a stream playing somewhere else (or fully exit the app on that device) and try again.
- Temporary server maintenance — brief outages happen. If nothing works across every device for a short window, wait a few minutes and retry before changing any settings.
Test on a second device
If a phone on mobile data loads your channels but your TV box does not, the problem is the box or its network — not the service. That single test rules a lot out fast.
Check your internet and DNS
Streaming needs a stable connection. If other apps on the device are also struggling, the network is the place to look.
- 1Confirm another app (a browser or a streaming app) can reach the internet on the same device.
- 2Restart your router, then restart the IPTV device — this clears the most common network hiccups in one go.
- 3If only your IPTV app fails while everything else works, try switching your device DNS to a public resolver such as `1.1.1.1` or `8.8.8.8`, then reload the playlist.
- 4On Wi-Fi with weak signal, move closer to the router or use a wired connection where you can — buffering and dropped channel lists often trace back to a flaky link.
Run through these seven checks in order and the overwhelming majority of "no channels" situations sort themselves out. If you have confirmed your plan is active, refreshed the playlist, and your login is correct, you are almost always seconds away from watching again.
